Fast track video for Barnfield College

Performance Media was commissioned by Barnfield Further Education College in Luton to produce a promotional video for fourteen to sixteen year olds. - The catch? There was just three weeks in which to get it ready for a first viewing.

Given the short lead time, Performance media spent a week in the college, getting to know the people and the culture. Week two was spent recording a wide range of courses from animal welfare to construction and computing. Student themselves told the story, with particular emphasis on their aspirations and how qualifications were setting them on the right career paths. Week three was spent editing and providing the commissioning team from Barnfield with an opportunity to see the emerging video. And on Tuesday of week four, the video was shown to large audiences of young people at schools in Luton. Feedback has been very positive with many people commenting that the video hits just the right balance between information and aspiration.
