Luton Borough Council commissioned Performance Media to produce a ‘welcome’ DVD for new arrivals coming to live and work in the town. To meet the multi-cultural needs of the community, the DVD was produced in English, Arabic, Polish, Russian, Somali and Turkish. The DVD was divided into a number of sections including health and wellbeing, employment, young people and learning, housing and good citizenship. It aims to help new arrivals, especially those from overseas, integrate effectively into their new communities and understand the values which underpin a successful multi-cultural society.
